WHAT IS A "FISCAL SPONSOR"?
Fiscal sponsors are nonprofits that advance the public benefit by facilitating the development and growth of charitable, mission-driven activities, and are organizations which have the ability to receive charitable contributions for specific projects, the infrastructure to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and adequate internal controls to ensure that the funds will be used for the intended charitable purposes. Simply, fiscal sponsors empower project leaders to manage the program while ensuring adequate fiduciary due care is maintained.

WHAT IS A "PUBLIC CHARITY"?
Generally, organizations classified as public charities:
- Have an active program of fundraising and receive contributions from many sources, including the general public, governmental agencies, corporations, private foundations or other public charities,
- Receive income from the conduct of activities in furtherance of the organization’s exempt purposes, or
- Actively function in a supporting relationship to one or more existing public charities.

HOW AND WHEN WILL YOU RECEIVE THE MONEY RAISED FOR YOUR MISSION?
After a brief clearing process, typically within five business days, the funds deposited in or transferred to a NPHOENIX not-for-profit trust account will be sent via electronic fund transfer to your Creative Mission Brand account at the Co-Creator designated address, account and routing number, and fund releases are processed on a consistent batch schedule.

Stakeholder refers to any being that may be affected by the decisions made within an organization, in other words, have a stake in the decision, whether or not they are formally associated with the organization.
